Guided by embodied making, Victoria Pater weaves the everyday weird and wonderful waste from mom-life into her luminous sculptures. A vibrant yellow cord is threaded throughout Winged Current and serves as both structural support and electrical conduit, binding material to the flow of energy and intention. With a flip of the switch a soft glow emerges from behind the preserved cicada wings, reminding us of our own evolution.
Winged Current was on display at The Weaving Workshop in November of 2025 and Forum 301 in January of 2026.
